1. Primary filter/pre filter/particulate filter: usually installed at the outlet of the compressor, after the air storage tank, or before the dryer.
It mainly filters large solid pollutants and some liquid water. Protect downstream equipment from damage caused by large particles.
2. Main pipeline filter/universal filter: usually installed after the dryer or gas storage tank as the main protective barrier of the system.
It filters medium-sized solid particles, some liquid water, and some oil mist. Suitable for general industrial pneumatic tools with low air quality requirements.
3. Condenser filter/oil removal filter: usually installed after the dryer or after the gas storage tank.
It filters liquid water, liquid oil (oil mist/droplets), and fine solid particles. This is the most core and important type of oil and water removal filter in compressed air systems. This filter must be installed before precision application.
4. Activated carbon filter/adsorption filter/deodorization filter/oil vapor filter: must be installed after the coagulation filter as the last stage of filtration in the system. Because oil vapor will penetrate the coalescing filter, while liquid oil or water will quickly render activated carbon ineffective.
It filters oil vapor, oil aerosols, and odors. This is the only effective method for removing gaseous oil pollutants from compressed air.
5. Sterilization Filter/Aseptic Filter: Installed at the end of the system, as close as possible to the gas point.
It filters out microorganisms such as bacteria and viruses. Mainly used in food, beverage, pharmaceutical, medical and other occasions with extremely high requirements for sterility. Usually, coagulation filters and activated carbon filters are required for sufficient protection in the front.
6. Pre filter for refrigerated dryer: installed at the front end of the air inlet of the refrigerated dryer.
It mainly filters out larger solid particles and liquid water/oil, protecting precision components such as evaporators inside the refrigerated dryer from contamination and blockage.
